Description
Singh meaning Lion.
The 10th Guru of Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, introduced Singh when he administered Amrit (baptism) to both male and female Sikhs; all male Sikhs were asked to use the name Singh after their forename. This was intended to replace the Sikh’s original surname, which was often a caste name. Sikhism is a faith of equality.
